When purchasing real estate there are also responsibilities for the buyer that must be taken into account. Below is a summary of the information needed to prepare for purchase before signing the title deed.
Documents required for signing before the notary:
Original personal ID card or passport
Original NIE/TIE Number (foreign residency/work permit)
Bank check or proof of bank transfers. According to the payment terms. Nowadays it is necessary for foreigners making their first purchase in Spain to open an account with a local bank.
Receipts of payments already made
N.B. The NIE/TIE is the tax identification for foreign residents who carry out an economic activity in Spain. It must be presented to the notary and is needed to pay taxes.
